Dear Parents,

It was fantastic to see so many parents supporting the school at our annual Firework Display on Wednesday. As ever, it was a superb show. I would like to thank all the staff and parents who worked with the FOM to prepare for and run this event, with particular thanks to Mrs Foster, Mrs Pellatt, Mrs Trinkwon and Mrs Hodgkinson.

Indeed, without the hard work of the FOM, many non-curricular events that the pupils really enjoy, such as discos, film nights, the Christmas fair and Bonfire night, could not take place.

Next year, FOM will be losing several key members as their children will be leaving Minterne. Without new volunteers, I have a real concern that it will not be possible to offer such events to our families in the next academic year.

It would be such a disappointment to lose these long-held traditions at Minterne. FOM are desperate to enlist new members to help prepare for these events, as well as to run them on the day / night. If you can offer your time to help with any aspect of future FOM functions, there is a meeting TONIGHT; Friday 11th November at 8pm. If you unable to make this date, but are able to offer help, please contact the school office.

I, the staff, governors and, of course, the pupils, really do appreciate any assistance that you can give.
