The children had a great time building their Anderson Shelters. This bought together our WW11 and Science topics, as they built an electrical circuit, which was then disguised by the shelters.
Staff were very pleased with the outcome of all the shelters.
World War 2 Day
We had a great day on Tuesday, Rainbow visited and the children took part in various scenes. We had the train journey of the children who were evacuated, a house scene, a shop scene and a bunker scene. Hopefully it gave the children an insight as to what it was like at that time. We finished the morning off with dancing - Hokey Cokey, Gay Gordons and the Conga. In the afternoon the children had art, where they made posters. We finished the afternoon with jam sandwiches and boiled fruit cake!
Please take time to view the photos of the day.
