Olympic Torch Relay

Sittingbourne and Sheppy had their own torch relay. On Thursday 5th July was our turn to recieve the torch from the children from the Oaks school. They arrived on scooters, complete with two torches. One had been made by all the children in the Oaks and the other was the official Sittingbourne and Sheppy torch, which had been designed by a child from Lower Halstow school. After a few games of scooter hockey, it was time for the torch to be taken to St. Peter's school.
The torch bearer's from Minterne took the torch along Minterne Avenue, which was lined with Minterne children, into King George's park and then onto St. Peter's.
