Term 2
This term, Year 5, have been learning all about the Anglo-Saxons. The topic kicked-off with an inter-class invasion and from here the children have experienced and considered the reasons for their settlement. Throughout the term, the children will research life in Anglo-Saxon times, for example, what they wore, how they fought and what they ate. In Literacy, the children have been creating many different text types, all based on the Anglo-Saxons.
Alongside this, we are working hard in preparation for our Christmas production - The Grinch! The dancers have been busy learning their routines, actors have been getting into role and the props team are working hard to turn the hall into Whoville! We are hoping to perform our production on two evenings this term - Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th December - details to be confirmed.
