I know Minterne is supposed to be a healthy school but coloured dyes were much in evidence when the cakes came pouring in on Monday morning. They also say that a little bit of what you fancy does you good and our children happily tucked into the hundreds of magnificent cakes in all shades of pink - purely in the interests of charity!!! Thanks to all parents who were very busy over the weekend cooking and decorating the cakes with a little help from the children.
Our A,B and C teams gave a very good account of themselves in the Sittingbourne PFA football tournament at Regis Manor on Saturday. The A team did exceptionally well, cruising through to the final where they were eventually beaten 2-0 by a very strong Bobbing team. The B team also did themselves proud, winning their group before being knocked out at the quarter final stage in a penalty shoot out. We were the only school to enter a C team which was quickly assembled two days before the tournament. Although the boys were disappointed not to win a game, they played with great spirit and were a credit to the school.
