Lead Teaching Assistant
When I was at school art was my favourite subject, so when I had to choose a career I wanted to be creative. I actually always dreamed of being a hairdresser. However, I decided to train to be a teacher because I didn't want a boring job - every day is different when you're a teacher!
I have taught children from nursery through to Year 6! Here, at Minterne I love teaching
Year 4. We learn so much in our different topics, in fact I feel I learn something new when children share their knowledge which I love!
Writing our own production is a huge challenge but it's very rewarding. The children across Year 4 never let us down and I feel very proud of what we achieve together. Our learning, skills and even memories set us up for a lifetime!
When I'm not at school I am kept VERY busy with three girls at home. I enjoy 'retail therapy', cooking and going to see live performances when I get the chance.
I always wanted to work with children. I worked as a Teaching Assistant for several years in Faversham, gaining a degree in Education, before moving to Sittingbourne.
I have worked with all age groups from Reception to Year 6. I love working with Year 4, especially the topics we cover. I coach the girls' football team, but sadly cannot play due to injury.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking and going to the cinema. I especially enjoy time with my family.
